Party Snack Recap | Happy New Year

Do you need to carry a snack or finger food to a New Year’s party or maybe a football-watching get-together? I gathered some of my favorites for your consideration.

Starting with the number one, most popular recipe on this blog (outside of “How to Make Salad in a Jar”.…but that’s not really a recipe), I recommend Bacon Wrapped Jalapeno Chicken Bites.

If you want a dip, try this Pepperoni Pizza Dip. Serve it warm for maximum enjoyment.

Pizza Dip--serve it hot, with lots of crackers. Guys love it.

Another personal favorite is this recipe from my niece….Easy Nacho Meat and Cheese Dip. Keep it warm in a crock pot.

These Warm and Toasty Nuts with Rosemary and Shallots are difficult to resist.

My favorite cheese ball is a Date-Nut Cheese Ball. I sometimes serve it with homemade graham crackers, but that is totally not necessary. Any kind of butter crackers or graham crackers are wonderful with this sweet-tasting party treat.

Date Cheeseball--Dates add a sweetness that goes well with butter or graham crackers

If you have some ham in the fridge or maybe leftover roast or pulled pork, make these easy dinner rolls in your bread machine, then split and use them as slider buns. A big tray of mini-sandwiches using homemade bread is guaranteed to disappear in a hurry!

Here’s another possibility for slider buns……Sweet Potato Dinner Rolls.
Sweet Potato Rolls with Honey-Butter Glaze--the glaze is optional. Makes a great slider bun for ham or pulled pork

This is my last post for 2014. I hope it was a good year for you. Please know how much I appreciate your visits to my little corner of the blogosphere. I always enjoy hearing from you whether in the comments, on Facebook, or by email. The things I learn from my readers make all the work worthwhile.

Happy New Year! Love y’all!  paula

This looks like an incredible list of munchies! Thanks, Paula, for all the inspiration in the kitchen. If one cooks every day, and I do, the ideas for new recipes or just a twist on an old favorite are what keep my going. Happy New Year to you and yours.

That pepperoni pizza dip is calling my name! Don’t know yet whether I’m going out or staying in, but I’d love for this to be a part of my celebration. Happy New Year! 🙂
