Wow – the tart is beautiful as are the photos! Your talent shows in both areas!

I have often thought about whether or not I was strong enough to implement your “better in the waste than on the waist” but so far have not had to take that stand…. having two teenagers and their friends around usually gets things out of the kitchen in a pretty fast… ha ha ha!

Oh my, this is perfection! Your tart crust couldn’t be any more beautiful. I didn’t think of adding water to mine, but it’s a great idea.

My hand is better than it was the other night (thanks for asking). I’ll probably loose some skin on a couple of my fingers but it could have been much worse. Lesson learned.

Can I ask what type of camera you have? I’ve been using a hand me down and it is no bueno. I just joined TWD as well. I’ve been pretty good about either giving away the desert or halving the recipes (except for the cream cheese brownies – and they were so good).

Your ganache looks like edible velvet! Great job! As far as pictures are concerned, It seems like the most intricate recipes refuse to take good photos. For a while I was more concerned about getting onto Foodgawker and TasteSpotting but I had to remind myself that the joy of baking is in the baking itself. So I try not to worry too much about photography. Bars and brownies are much easier than a flat cookie though.
